A piece of my cubicle fell down today…twice. I don’t know if you will understand my explanation, but it was a black side panel that goes at the end of a wall to make it look better, measuring perhaps four inches wide and maybe four feet tall, give or take. It’s not a huge piece, by any means, but it makes a loud noise upon hitting the floor.
The first time it happened was in the morning when I was getting up to bring a box over to another department. I barely tapped the panel piece before it came off and hit the floor, making myself and a couple of others around me jump. I picked it up and put it back in its place, no big deal.
The second time it happened was in the afternoon, and this one was even more bizarre. I had put a large container of protein powder (Muscle Milk, anyone?) in a box to later give to someone else (That’s the biggest look you’re getting at what I do today). As you know, some of those containers are quite large, but for no reason should anything fall because of it. I set (not tossed) the container in the box on my desk, and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE! The darn piece fell again, making the same loud sound as the previous time. This time, of course, more people were paying attention. I noted a few laughs, a raised eyebrow, and another jump on my behalf. All I could say was, “It’s time to move.”
Two of my coworkers decided that we couldn’t take any chances with my phantom cubicle, so they did what any respectable office worker would do: they taped it. To be even more effective, I stuck a few pins where the tape was – not that it will do anything. If it’s still standing when I get there on Friday, we have succeeded. If not…well, I don’t have anything to say to that.
In other news, I’m preparing to start cooking with The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook by Dinah Bucholz. I have spoken with Dinah (okay, e-mail) about my cooking project, and I have her support. What more could a girl ask for, really? And if any of my readers are fans of Mugglenet, Dinah will soon be interviewing with them about this book. I high recommend that you check it out when it becomes available. I am planning on starting my cooking adventure within the new week or two, so look for more on that!
Speaking of Harry Potter, the new trailer for the first half of Deathly Hallows came out tonight! I won’t give my opinion or share stuff that I know about the movie for the sake of those who prefer to wait, but I leave you tonight with the video below in case you’re interested.
Have you ever had a double-crash at work?
What day of the week should I have my cooking post?
If you watched the Harry Potter trailer, what are your thoughts?
