Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today was a good day for me. I have no reason for it, really. I got up, went to work, stopped at the grocery store, then went to my dad and step-mom’s to make dinner for me, my dad and my sister, followed by hot fudge sundae’s from DQ.
What was on the menu, you ask? First, I assembled an appetizer. And as you will predict, it was really difficult to make (note sarcasm).
The green pepper in ranch dip was followed by the main dish. I followed Kristin’s recipe for asparagus. You can find this at Iowa Girl Eats.
But we couldn’t just eat greens, as delicious as they are. I followed them up with Classic Mac & Cheese, also from Kristin at Iowa Girl Eats. Do I copy her a lot? Why yes, I do. But I give her credit, so I find it to be a reasonable trade.
The final plate:
If that doesn’t look amazing, I don’t know what does. And trust me, it’s as delicious as it looks. My dad said it earned an A grade, so I’m going to consider it a win.
Speaking of recipes, tomorrow will be the first recipe post for the Harry Potter Cookbook Challenge. The food has been made, eaten and enjoyed – and I have the pictures to prove it!
I better get going for now. I’m still at my dad and step-mom’s house, and they’ve started watching the Twins game. Alas, that means I must depart. Cheers!
Have you ever tried baked macaroni & cheese? If so, do you like it?
