I am currently sitting at Atomic Coffee in Moorhead (Minnesota), watching a train go by. My drink is gone, because I’ve been here for almost two hours. Glasses tend to be empty after that sort of time period. I had a meeting with a couple of classmates, and now I’m breaking before working on my novel. The train is gone.
I haven’t been neglecting my blog on purpose. Full-time work, school and novel writing has kept me busy, not to mention life in general. If I could turn back time… wait. Cher needs to stop going off in my head. I need to focus.
I’m distracted by the window drawings of little food and drink people. Bagel man with his knife. Two espresso-sized cups giving each other a high-five. They’re adorable, really. I can’t focus when I’m staring out the window. Stop that.
I have a meeting tonight that I am looking forward to. The group I went on the British Isles trip with in May/June are getting together tonight for some appetizers, drinks and picture sharing. I adore this group of people. I had a great time getting to know all of them and exploring England/Wales together. I couldn’t have picked a better group of people to travel with.
I’m still hoping to get a “Travels” tab going. France pictures will be harder to find, considering that trip was over four years ago now (and two laptops ago). But I have other adventures to share.
Speaking of adventures, I leave for Seattle in less than two weeks!!! I am so excited for this trip. Spending time with one of my best friends is going to be a great time. I haven’t seen her for more than a few hours each summer since we graduated in 2006. Needless to say, it’s been a while. I haven’t seen her yet this year either, so the trip is even more special. And I love Seattle, so that is a major perk.
I don’t have much else for right now. I should really get back to my novel. Have a great night, all!
