Happy Tuesday, world! I woke up this morning to clouds and the lasting promise of freezing temperatures. Considering that’s normal here, I’m calling it a good start to the morning.
I decided that it’s time to stop apologizing. You all know by now that I get busy and sometimes I’m not able to blog for a while. I will get back to your comments and keep in touch. Besides, you aren’t missing much on my end. I work, go to school, write, do homework, clean (not as often as I should), and spend time with people I care about. There are the details, of course, but they aren’t worth apologizing over when I don’t write about them.
I’ve been feeling guilty lately about being behind on the NaNoWriMo contest. I’m at 12,292 words. I should be at 25,000-30,000. Clearly that’s a bit off. And I’m leaving for Seattle next week, so that will take away from writing time. But I won’t apologize. I’m less than five pages away from being done with part one of my three-part novel. To me, that’s a big accomplishment. I’m still going to keep working on it when I’m not doing work or school stuff, but I’m not going to apologize or get bummed if I don’t finish the 50,000 words contest. Water under the bridge. There’s always next year.
What I really won’t apologize for is the fact that I’m excited for the midnight premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One to come out this week. Seriously, this series has been with me for a decade now and I love everything about it. My dad hates that I love it, but I hate that he loves the Vikings. We can’t always get what we want. Not apologizing!
I’m going to miss new movies about the trio and their adventures. As Barty Crouch Sr. once said, “Life goes on, and here we stand.” I’ve never used that as a Potter quote, but I’m doing it today. Anyways, here are some shots for the new film.
That’s all I had for now. If nothing else, I’ll get my review of the new Harry Potter film up over the weekend.
Are you going to see the new Potter film?
-If yes, what part are you excited for/dreading?
What are you not apologizing for?
