A winter storm has been going on outside since yesterday. Most of the town is shut down. I probably won’t be going anywhere until Sunday, which means my New Years plans are canceled. This means reading (hopefully a lot) tonight and tomorrow. I am presently working on “The Remains of the Day” by Kazuo Ishiguro. I’m fascinated by the main character, but that’s all I can say for now, mainly because I’m only nine pages in.
The only real thing I wanted to mention in this post apart from whining about the weather is my New Years resolution. I have three. They are self-explanatory, but I figured I’d make it public so that if anyone asks I will know they don’t read my blog. Cheeky, I know. Here they are:
1. Read More.
2. Write More.
3. Keep my grades going smoothly. (You thought I was going to say “Live More,” didn’t you? Silly.)
Otherwise, it’s pretty lack-luster in Fargo. I’m going to eat a Duplo (candy) that Brian brought back from Austria, and then perhaps fix up some hot chocolate in a bit. That’s all I have for today.
What is your New Years resolution, if you have one?
What are you doing to bring in the New Year (or what did you do)?
