Today is a day of celebration. Why, you may ask? Well, I’ll tell you why.
I am between a test and a PowerPoint presentation, and then it’s smooth sailing…until March 21. I’m going to Vegas next Monday for my dad’s 50th birthday. That should be a good time.
I have no idea why I’m writing. I’m waiting for the next class, really. We’re doing a presentation on Booker T. Washington and how his approach to post-slavery change was more productive (AKA BETTER) than W.E.B. Du Bois’ approach. So I made a PowerPoint, and stuff got real.
Travis is here. I know nobody knows who that is. But now you will know, because I’m going to tell you. He just handed me a poem that he’s been working on. I’m going to share the first three lines. Yes, he’s approved this. No, I’m not lying.
The proof is in the pudding.
I like yogurt.
Am I a communist?
…brilliant, right!? Yes, I thought so too. The poem is 26 lines, so you better make friends with him if you want to read the rest of it. I mean, really, why else do you think I became friends with him? Okay, okay, nothing to do with poetry.
I still don’t know why I’m writing this.
But one last thing. I hate MAC computers. Why did the people at Apple feel a need to make a command button? Seriously, it took me months to figure out that I could still use the CTRL+something to do…something. And now you need that damn little apple icon button, also known as command. And what’s with that squiggly line on that button? Seriously, Apple, stop trying to impress. You’re only hurting yourself. And Voldemort.
I’m going to stop now, mainly because I’m tired of my own voice as I talk myself through this mess that is a Thursday Musing.
What are you doing this weekend?
The command button on MAC…your thoughts?
