Day 13 – Somewhere you’d like to move or visit.
Since I’ve already written about where I’d like to live in a previous post, I will write about somewhere I would like to visit.
I have wanted to travel to Norway since I was in the sixth grade. I remember Mr. Broton giving us the assignment that we had to make a large poster board about a country and explain significant points at sort of fair in the gym. I chose Norway because I knew my grandparents had been there and it was a part of my heritage. I learned a lot when researching the country. The main thing I took from it was that the fjords looked AWESOME. From sixth grade on, I knew that I wanted to go to Norway and see the fjords there.
I will admit that this idea slipped from my mind as the years went on. I started learning French and my head became engulfed in going to France. Next up was England because I wanted to visit the motherland more than Norway. It wasn’t until my step-brother informed me that he was going to do a semester study abroad in Norway that I considered going there again. His semester turned into nine months, naturally. Hearing nothing but good stories about the country from him, as well as my family who went in December, I realized how much I still want to go.
I don’t know when this trip would take place, but I know that it will happen eventually in my lifetime. I would love to go and spend time with the family my step-brother stayed with because I’ve only heard wonderful things about them, but again this isn’t a plan I’m presently making. It will happen when it happens.
For listing sakes, a few of the other places I would like to travel to are Germany, Washington D.C. the east coast, Harry Potter land in Orlando, Quebec, Italy and Ireland.
Where is somewhere you would like to live and/or travel in your life?
